Mystery Run

17 cars gathered at Z Hautapu to set out on a mystery run organised by members John and Marg Hughes. Great to see a couple of members of the Auckland Jaguar Club join us on this run. Cars were dispatched at 5 min intervals and were required to follow a number of instructions, and identify a number of answers to questions on the way, to (hopefully) get to the mystery destination in time for lunch. The good news is that we didn’t manage to lose anyone, although some teams managed to covered significantly more distance than others. The final destination was the Okoroire Hotel in a rural location by Tirau, which we arrived at after navigating rural roads at the back of Cambridge and Putaruru. A really great scenic trip with some great country roads and sights.

At the hotel, after consuming a generous buffet lunch a range of prizes were handled out to those who gathered the most answers while travelling the shortest distance and those who managed to achieve more mileage that the rest. The Okoroire was full on the day as this also worked out to the lunch destination for the Citroën and Corvette Car Clubs.

Thanks to John and Marg for organising a great day out.
